In the Vallejo City Unified School District, our strategic plan unifies the organization’s efforts around our shared mission and vision, and guiding improvement efforts.

High School Course Catalog

The High School Course Catalog provides detailed information on the academic programs and courses available to students, including UC/CSU college entrance requirements, career academies, and pathways. It serves as a comprehensive guide to help students plan their high school education and prepare for future college and career opportunities.

Parent-Student Handbook

Home-school communication is essential to our students’ success. All interventions, including most AMC actions, will include a parent contact and/or conference. We strive to ensure families are active partners in education at all times. Review a list of included alternative means of correction.

It is the student's responsibility to arrive at class on time. "On time" means being seated before the second bell rings. Students may not "check-in" to class and then wander the campus or visit another classroom. All students are expected to comply with attendance policies to ensure academic success and fulfillment of graduation requirements.

All Vallejo High School classrooms prohibit cell phone use. AirPods and earbuds are not allowed on campus as they interfere with the educational experience and pose safety hazards for students navigating the campus. Vallejo High School and the Vallejo City Unified School District are not responsible for lost or stolen devices and will not investigate their theft or disappearance.

Students are NOT permitted to leave campus during the school day without permission from a parent or guardian. Students who leave campus are subject to a health and safety check (search) and will face disciplinary actions. These consequences are for the safety of ALL Vallejo High students and staff.

Review the steps administrators will follow when addressing complaints about teachers from students or parents. These procedures will be followed unless the issue involves harassment, discrimination, or unlawful activities. In these cases, district policy will apply.

The Progressive Discipline Plan was developed for all schools within the Vallejo City Unified School District and outlines the Alternative Means of Correction that school sites may use, as well as consequences that may be issued for inappropriate student behaviors.
